Syringe Dispense Technology
Innovadyne Technologies purchased its syringe business in February 2000 from Advanced Liquid Handling, Inc. (ALH). ALH was founded by Jerry Rochte, a former founder of Cavro Scientific (the ro in Cavro). Upon leaving Cavro, Mr. Rochte decided to use his 30 years of engineering experience to develop a syringe drive that had an improved design in comparison with the Cavro syringe drive. He developed and patented a novel friction drive that is useful as a syringe drive component and adaptable for other motion control applications. The result is a lightweight syringe drive that has excellent liquid handling performance. Innovadyne offers its syringe drive products as OEM liquid handling components, as well as incorporating them into the 8-channel syringe drives used in its Nanodrop and Screenmaker instruments
