appropriate accessories, and specialized software.
High-Throughput Screening

Nanodrop™ HTS
|
|
The Nanodrop HTS, Innovadyne's offering for high-throughput screening
applications includes the Nanodrop fluidics module with a choice of stages, and the reagent refill
system for continuous reagent resupply. Easily integrated for use in automated screening systems,
the Nanodrop HTS is a great choice for reducing assay volumes without compromising precision or
accuracy.

Nanodrop AD
|
|
The needs of the assay development lab are addressed with the Nanodrop AD
configuration, which includes the Nanodrop II stage and fluidics, the reagent refill system for
reagent resupply, and an orbital plate shaker for mixing the contents dispensed into plate wells.
The low dead-volume system architecture is ideal for method development or short run assays that
require frequent changes in reagents. Reagents can be placed in the 4 dedicated reservoirs or
additionally in deep-well plates or any SBS footprint labware.

Nanodrop SPA
|
|
Reliability and robustness are critical in bead dispensing, where conventional
liquid handlers tend to fail due to fouling of tips, harnesses and valves. The Nanodrop SPA is
a highly reliable and precise instrument configuration that dispenses beads down to 100 nL and below.
Customized reagent trays with bead dispersion paddles, or an orbital plate shaker, are available
to keep beads in solution, and chilled and heated reagent can be refilled with a recirculating
reagent addition module.

Nanodrop CAS
|
|
The Nanodrop CAS (Cell Assay System) system addresses your dispensing
requirements for dispensing viable cells and difficult-to-dispense cell media. It has no moving
parts in the dispense path that can damage cells, and the remote placement of solenoids cushions the
pressure pulse impact on cells. Cell plating and dosing are possible on a single platform.

Nanodrop IC50
|
|
The Nanodrop IC50 system is configured to make serial dilutions of compounds
in DMSO. High precision IC50 screening can subsequently be performed using the Nanodrop II. All
system material is DMSO compatible, and the design isolates all moving parts from solvents Syringe
aspirate and dispense can be used for serial dilutions, while solenoid dispense for the assays
reduces total assay volumes.

Genomics

Nanodrop PCR
|
|
PCR and sequencing are easily accomplished on the Nanodrop PCR, configured with the Nanodrop
fluidics model, a choice of stages, the reagent refill system for reagent resupply, and an Eppendorf
tube holder for nucleotide assembly. The low-dead-volume aspirate and dispense architecture
facilitates additions of master mix with a minimum of waste. This system is well adapted for
applications requiring multiple markers in one amplification step. On a Nanodrop II platform
additional reagents can be placed in a deep-well micro plate located in one of the 2 plate nests.

Screenmaker 96+8 PCR
|
|
Higher throughput and more complex PCR/sequencing requirements may be best
met with the Screenmaker 96+8 PCR configuration. The instrument is particularly suited for
dispensing template DNA at low volume and dispensing elaborate primer-pair maps for real-time PCR
diagnostic protocols. Additionally, rare sample may be applied to the plates with a single channel
greatly reducing the sample volume required for an assay.

Nanodrop XTAL

The Nanodrop Xtal configuration for protein crystallography offers a medium
priced, semi-automated platform for performing crystallography screens and protein addition. It can
be purchased in single plate (Nanodrop ExtY) or two-plate (Nandrop II) configurations. This system
can aliquot as many as 4 different proteins or protein concentrations to any well on a crystal
plate. Using a Nanodrop II it is also possible to transfer the buffers from a source deep well
block to crystal plates.

Screenmaker 96+8 XTAL
|
|
The Screenmaker 96+8 Xtal system is a top-of-the-line, fully automated
platform for protein crystallography experiments. It features proprietary screen creation software
developed with a Protein Structure Initiative partner. The Screenmaker 96+8 Xtal is the fastest
platform on the market for crystallization screen performance -- <45 seconds. It can replace 3
liquid handling stations in one multi-faceted application -- screen creation, screen set up and
screen performance.

Nanodrop MALDI
|
|
The Nanodrop MALDI system is configured for use in spotting MALDI plates for
protein characterization and quality control of synthetic oligonucleotides. It includes two plate
nests for source plates and MALDI plates. Single tip dispensing can be performed for rare compounds,
and independent channel spotting enables spotting of unique plate maps. The system is a good fit
for performing Oligo QA/QC or for protein characterization. The system has been show to be an
effective spotting tool for the analysis of laser capture microdissection (LCM) cells using MALDI.
