Biomek® FX Adapter Kit
Innovadyne Technologies offers a universal non-contact liquid handling peripheral to enable low volume protein crystallography applications on existing Biomek® FX liquid handlers. The patent-pending peripheral mounts directly to the working platform of the FX instrument via an adapter kit. A custom SILAS™ driver has also been developed to communicate with the FX. The FX performs the necessary tasks required to dispense mother liquor buffers to the reservoir wells of the crystal plate from source containers using variable span, fixed tip or 96-tip dispense heads. The 8-channel Innovadyne Nanodrop transfers the mother liquors from the reservoir wells to the drop chambers, followed immediately with the spot-on-spot dispense of the desired target protein and plate sealing.
