Innovadyne Technologies Offers Package Pricing to Protein Crystallographers for the Screenmaker Instrument and Innovaplate Plates

Innovadyne Technologies today announced special pricing (as low as $75,000) for the Screenmaker 96+8 Xtal liquid handler -- used worldwide at prestigious, high-throughput crystallography sites -- when purchased with Innovadyne's Innovaplate SD-2 sitting drop or Innovaplate HD hanging drop crystallography plates in bulk quantities. This new offering is intended to make the Screenmaker affordable for small to medium labs where performance and flexibility are essential requirements.
The Screenmaker 96+8 Xtal is the fastest drop-making platform on the market, at less than 45 seconds, and utilizes Innovadyne's proprietary technology for valve-free fluid channels and non-contact (as well as contact) dispensing. The Screenmaker Xtal is specialized for high-throughput crystallography, and its capabilities include the ability to create fine or coarse screens, transfer to crystal plate reservoirs from multiple plate positions and perform drop setting, all on the one instrument.
The Screenmaker Xtal readily dispenses multiple additives and proteins to reservoirs or drop chambers, and performs hanging drop and sitting drop as well as microbatch protocols. Its aspirate-dispense architecture and wash system design eliminate cross-contamination without the use of disposable tips.
The Innovaplate™ SD-2 is a new 2-drop-chamber crystallography plate designed and approved by prestigious crystallographers and made of proprietary new materials that allow for better imaging of crystals. The Innovaplate SD-2 is designed to provide easier access and removal of the crystals, better mixing of precipitate and protein, and lower reaction volumes.
